The conversion from euros to pounds in yesterday's report headed "€16m extra to be paid to Brussels" was incorrect

The conversion from euros to pounds in yesterday's report headed "€16m extra to be paid to Brussels" was incorrect. It should have been £12.6 million.

In yesterday's Front Row arts column, the Longford dancer and choreographer Marguerite Donlan was referred to as Marguerite Conlan.

A court report on May 12th headed "Man jailed on buggery charge" referred to offences committed in 1981 and 1982 by a worker at Scoil Ard Mhuire, Oberstown, which closed in 1985. We have been asked to clarify that the offender, who was described as "a former Oberstown House care worker" has no connection with Oberstown Boys Centre which was established in 1991 in the same premises but under different management.

Where errors occur, it is the policy of The Irish Times to correct or clarify as soon as practicable.
