In Nuala O'Faolain's opinion column in the editions of June 23rd, reference was made to a proposal by Killarney Golf Club to cut down woods for the sake of a larger golf-course. In fact, the proposal, to swap the privately-owned Kelleher's Wood for a parcel of land in the National Park which would then form part of a golf course, has been made by Castlerosse Hotel. There was controversy about proposals to extend Killarney Golf Club but this took place and was resolved five years ago.
