A TOTAL of £120,000 was made from last week's two day sale at Mullen's of Laurel Park, where a bronze group of a stag and deer, more than 5ft tall, sold for £1,900 and a large pair of terracotta, two handled urns with covers made £650.

Among the furniture, a five piece drawing room suite went for £1,650, a walnut partner's desk fetched £1,500 - the same figure as for a Chinese blue and white part dinner and tea service - and a Victorian engraved pub mirror went under the hammer for £825. A pair of 19th century glazed urns, a Victorian pod table and a pair of blackamoor figures all made the same price of £1,000. Both a walnut canterbury and a set of 10 Hepplewhite style mahogany dining chairs went for £900.
