Trawatch
IFC
FOR those of you not obsessed with the weekly exploits of David Hasselhof, it should be explained that Trawatch is a skit on all the silicone foibles of the worryingly popular series,
Baywatch (tra - bay, get it?). Anybody who has enjoyed watching or mocking the programme may get a kick out of Chambermade's good humoured if slight production, that centres on the upset a FAS trainee can cause to the cult of the Body Beautiful. On Dollymount Strand.
Milligan's War
James Joyce Centre
ONCE in this energetic presentation of Spike Milligan's wartime reminiscences, Spike finishes a flight of fancy explaining: "I'm just following it to its illogical conclusion." This comic journey from the horrific to the absurd powers the entertaining episodic piece from the Lost Theatre, a London youth company. The discussions about portable holes are balanced by serious moments, and while some of the cast's accents go astray, Gregory Mandry (who also directs) is a likeable Milligan.
