Ticketmaster’s new app for Irish music fans has gone live. It’s a new way to get tickets and find event information while you’re on the move. It makes it that bit easier when you’re trying to catch an early sale and are stuck on the commute to work. And it has some handy alerts as well, so you can keep up to date with any changes or news about events you’ve bought tickets for. Not only will the app show you events based on location, but will also scan your music and give you recommendations for upcoming events based on the results. If you set an artist as a favourite, you’ll be notified when tickets are announced or go on sale. You can also find out artist information or take a look at past set lists, and there’s the ability to add events to your phone’s calendar. There’s the ubiquitous social sharing, so you can tweet your events, post them to a friend’s Facebook wall or just email it to them. One thing missing is Passbook integration, so you will still need printed tickets.
