To call the blockbuster tie-in Thor: God of Thundera disappointment putting it mildly. Inconsistent graphics, repetitive combat, tedious gameplay . . . for a game based primarily on combat, it's sluggish and lends itself more easily to button-mashing than skilled fighting, leading to frustration. Thor isn't all bad, though. There are one or two moments when you can see what the game is going for. While the graphics are a bit dated, the cinematic sequences are impressive. And, as Thor, you can command some pretty powerful forces of nature. Wind, lightning and earthquakes are all at your command. But it's not enough to make Thor a must-play game.
