ENTHUSIASTIC gardeners will want to attend the auction of statuary and related items being conducted by Daphne L. Kaye & Associates at Tritonville Hall in Sandymount, Dublin, this afternoon. Starting at 2 p.m.. the sale has a wealth of urns and vases, such as a pair of urns in aged Portland stone and standing more than six-and-a-half feet high (estimate £2,000-£2,400), and a pair of urns in aged Bath stone on plinths (£1,800-£1,900).

Among the 150-odd lots, there is also a Triton fountain figure in aged Portland stone (£1,800-£2,000), a pair of early 19th century salt-glazed flower urns on fluted columns (£1,600-£1,800), a lead statue of a female, which is almost five foot high (£2,000-£2,200), and a 5ft tall triform Swan fountain (£2,200-£2,400).
