A founding member of ELO was killed in a freak accident involving a hay bale in Devon last weekend.

Mike Edwards (62), who played cello with the band from 1972-1974, was killed instantly after the bale rolled down a steep incline on to a road, colliding with his van. Edwards was known for playing his instrument with a grapefruit, and he changed his name to Pramada after leaving the band.
