Jessie Ware's progression from former cub reporter for the Jewish Chronicle to world- beating soul diva has been one to applaud. Her debut album, Devotion, gave her the arsenal required to make the break, but Tough Love is in another league entirely. Ware still walks the line between sleek, sultry grooves and brittle, heartfelt, emotional ballads. But it's the composition, poise and elan of the tracks from both sides of that coin which make you go wow, as Ware and her producers show off in some style.
