There seem to be Messiahs and Christmas music wherever you look. But cellist Kate Ellis (above), a member of Crash Ensemble, Ensemble ICC and Yurodny, and a moving force behind the monthly Kaleidoscope concert series, is offering a programme of works for cello and electronics for another promoter, Siobhán Cleary's NewSoundWorlds, at the National Concert Hall. Ellis will play part of World to Comeby Crash favourite David Lang, a new work by Niall Vallely, and pieces by Kevin O'Connell, David Fennessy, Peteris Vasks, and Giovanni Sollima.
