The title refers to a chain of Chinese discount shops in Madrid - and it's in those colourful aisles that Pablo Díaz-Reixa found inspiration for his third album after he'd hit a creative wall.

On previous releases like Pop Negro, Díaz-Reixa's shimmering grooves were full of tropical appeal and giddy pop potential.

Here, though, the producer leans towards more abrasive experimentation and twitchy sounds, each track building and bubbling on the back of bright loops which enter and leave with almost indecent haste.

There are times when it's hard to get a handle on the producer's intentions, yet there are also moments in Comix, Rotu Seco and Stena Drillmax when the elastic beats and breaks fall back to reveal that the producer is operating on more than just the fumes from studio textures and techniques.
