Avenged Sevenfold brought their long-anticipated live show to the O2 on Tuesday night. The jump from the Olympia to the O2 in just three years is testament to how much the band's fanbase has grown since the release of the albums Nightmare and the latest Hail to the King – which topped the Irish album charts.
Shortly after the concert, Ronan McGreevy caught up backstage with Avenged Sevenfold drummer Arin Ilejay where he talked about the success of Hail to the King, carrying the torch for a new generation of headbangers and how he came to join the band that have become the standard-bearers for modern metal.
