The Triskel Arts Centre in Cork this week launched itself on the world in a new form, thanks to a £450,000 project, entitled Triskel Phase 11. The centre, which was in dire need of refurbishment, now has two galleries and two artists' studios. It has a new film projector, and a dedicated education workshop.

Just as well that Triskel artists have a home to go to, if the welcome Irene Murphy got at St. Augustine's Church is anything to go by. Her Sounding Through, part of Triskel's Intermedia project and installed with the permission of the Prior, was objected to in her absence, being deemed "pagan" and "New Age", and the artist was evicted.
