What can men do to help?

Organise a White Ribbon Campaign effort in local schools, workplaces or churches

Organise a White Ribbon Campaign effort in local schools, workplaces or churches. Get as many men and boys involved as possible and encourage them to spread the word.

Speak out the next time you get an email that depicts women in disrespectful ways - tell the sender what you think. Consider your value as a role model to boys and young men.

Support places where women get help when they have experienced men's violence. Organise a fund-raiser for your local women's shelter. Consider making a donation or give used clothing, toys or furniture to your local women's shelter.

Show our sons that being strong is not the same as being violent. We also need to tell them we will support them in standing up to those who are violent against them and others. These messages are just as important for our daughters to hear.
