A 29-year-old Irish man has died following a fall at a ski resort in Bulgaria on Tuesday.
The man, who is understood to have been a tourist, was seriously injured after falling into a gully near the Todorka mountain peak.
The Bulgarian Red Cross said initial information suggested he was part of a group taking photographs when he lost his balance and fell from a height of about 600 meters.
The Bulgarian Red Cross was alerted to the incident at 2.30pm local time, and emergency services rushed to the scene.

It said a helicopter was dispatched but suffered technical difficulties and had to return to base before it could reach the man.
However, rescue teams proceeded on foot and managed to get to the man, who was discovered with “extremely serious injuries”.
The man was provided with first aid before being transported on a stretcher and a snow mobile before being taken to a hospital in Sofia.
A spokesperson for the Department of Foreign Affairs said that it was “aware of the case and is providing consular assistance”.
“As with all consular cases, the Department does not comment on the details of individual cases,” they said.
