Irish abroad: What does ‘being a man’ mean to you?

How to be a Man series is running in The Irish Times this week. We want to hear from readers overseas

How to be a Man is a series running in The Irish Times this week, in print and online. The series explores questions such as: Is masculinity in crisis? How are men today different to their fathers' generation? How has the current wave of feminism impacted on men? What are the new challenges for them?

We would like to hear from our readers abroad: what the social and cultural differences where you live? Has your perception or belief in what “being a man” means changed since leaving Ireland?

Send your responses (less than 500 words) to emigration@irishtimes.com by this Wednesday, September 28th, with a few lines about yourself, and a photograph if possible. A selection will be published online on Thursday.
