Historian Turtle Bunbury will bring the stories of the Irish in the Great War to life at an event in The Little Museum of Dublin on St Stephen’s Green on October 14th.
His stories of forgotten heroes – among them nuns, artists, sportsmen, poets, aristocrats, nationalists, nurses, clergymen and film directors – will make for a fascinating evening. Bunbury's book, The Glorious Madness: Tales of the Irish and The Great War, is published by Gill & MacMillan.
There will be food too, with Domini Kemp cooking from her new book, Dinner: The Irish Times Selection. Tickets, €10, can be booked at gillmacmillanbooks.ie/the-finishing-school.
