Get Swimming Week Six

In Week 6 of The Irish Times Get Swimming course, Melanie Nocher focuses on tumbling and treading water, while also increasing your distance to 1200m. More details on irishtimes.com/getswimming

Congratulations on getting to this, the halfway mark in our programme. We hope you’re on course to be able to swim a mile by May.

Week Six

This week, we are working on extending the distance you can swim comfortably from 1,100m to 1,200m. able to swim 1,100 metres. This week's programme focuses on: front crawl arm pull, breathing and tumbling. Your swimming coach, former Olympian Melanie Nocher offers tips on these and techniques for treading water in our instruction video.  If you are taking part, you need to be able to commit to three training sessions a week.
