GRÁINNE JORDAN and James Taylor were married at St Kevin’s Church in Glendalough, Co Wicklow on May 6th by Fr Michael Rogers.
Gráinne’s parents, Anne and Tony Jordan, live in Santry and she is the youngest of their five daughters. She attended Maryfield College in Drumcondra and later studied documentary photography in Sallynoggin College and at the University of Wales. She now works as studio manager for Mark Nixon Photography in Clontarf.
James comes from Kansas City, Missouri, and they met at a Christmas party in 2006 when they were both working for Conduit, at East Point Business Park in Dublin. They took six months off together and travelled in Asia and around the US before deciding to get married in April of last year. James has a BSc in marketing from the University of Missouri at Columbia and now works for Yahoo Ireland.
With a big group of American visitors in the church, Fr Rogers began the ceremony with an entertaining history of Glendalough. Afterwards, they went to the lakeside for some wind-blown photographs, before returning to the Glendalough Hotel for a great party, that was both “relaxed and great fun”. They stayed in Dublin for the next week to be with their friends and families, before leaving for an Italian honeymoon on the Amalfi coast. They live in Clontarf.
