If the kids are suffering from post-Crimbo gloom, the Little Gym in Liffey Valley is having a fun day today in aid of ARCH, a new charity set up by Stillorgan-born Bebhinn Ramsay (pictured) in honour of her late husband, Alastair.
During his lifetime, Alastair Ramsay had been involved with a number of charities in Brazil, where he and Bebhinn lived for a time and where their first son was born. After his death last May, Bebhinn decided to continue his work and returned with their young sons, Tom and Liam Óg, to help poor families and children in southern Brazil. All the money raised from the fun day, which promises face painting, nail art, crafts and plenty of fun activities for kids and grown-ups, and from the ARCH charity boxes that have been distributed through a network of friends and volunteers, will go towards funding Bebhinn's work with Brazil's poorest children. www.alastairramsay.net
