Do you think you have a healthy lifestyle?
I do. I try to exercise in any free time I have. I was never one for team sports when I was younger. In my teens and in college, I didn't make time for exercise. It was when I started work that going to the gym became a regular thing for me. It was then that I picked up running and that's what I love to do the most.
How often do you exercise?
I'd try to go for a run at least three times a week. I like to run in the Phoenix Park and when I get up to Monaghan, I love to run in the Rossmore Forest Park. Until recently, I regularly did Bikram yoga but at the minute with work, I find it quite time consuming.
Do you get your five a day?
I try to eat fruit with breakfast. I have some grapes and I take a couple of apples with me every day. I'm not regimented about it but with dinner I'd always have veg. In this weather, it's easy to eat more salads.
Do you worry?
There is always going to be something to worry about. Everyone has a cross to bear at some stage. I don't think there is anything wrong with worry; it makes you more of a considerate and concerned person. I'd be a believer in fate. Whatever happens, happens for a reason. There should always be something good to come out of it.
What do you do to relax?
Recently I was in Mullaghmore in Sligo. I got up, went for a run, then we rented bikes and cycled around that beautiful area. We went to the beach and had a swim and then had a massage and a lovely dinner that evening. It was the perfect day. I haven't had one in a long time.
What's your unhealthiest habit?
Wine would be my downfall. I love a glass of vino. I wouldn't have a glass every night but when I do have one, I look forward to it.
