About 100 acres beside Wicklow town are expected to make in excess of £1 million when they are auctioned on October 7th by Jackson-Stops McCabe. The land is currently zoned for agricultural use but adjoins a number of recently developed residential estates such as Rose Hill, Marlton Court and Ballyguile. Gordon Lennox of the selling agents says the land has "medium-term development potential".

The same agents are quoting rents of £25 per square foot for two retail units of 1,160 square feet each in a designated area scheme around the corner from Bray DART station. The development also includes 1,400 square feet of offices, which are available at £14 per square foot.
