The Co Meath town of Ashbourne is about to lose its worst eyesore when a range of old corn stores along the Main Street are sold for redevelopment. Garvan Walsh of Insignia Richard Ellis Gunne is quoting a guide price of over £2.5 million for the buildings which stand on a site of 3.29 acres and are to be sold by tender on February 15th. The property has been owned for many years by Dardis & Dunns Seeds Ltd, which is now in receivership. It is easily the best development opportunity in the town, located directly opposite the local shopping centre. There is full planning permission for 114 apartments, 12,000 sq ft of offices and 10,300 sq ft of retail space. Ashbourne is one of the fastest growing towns in the greater Dublin area.
