FIVE weeks before the new Bloomfields shopping centre opens for business in Dun Laoghaire, Co Dublin, Bewleys has taken a store for a new-style restaurant which will trade as Ernsts. The company will be paying a rent of £40,000 per annum for the unit, which has a floor area of 3,500 square feet. All shop units in the £20 million centre have been allocated with the exception of a 2,500-square-foot unit, which is aimed at a fashion or footwear retailer. Monarch Properties, which is developing the centre, has agreed to sell a site to Ward Andersen for a 12-screen cinema complex.
