NORTHERN Ireland developer was the top bidder at 20,000 for an apartment site of one quarter of an acre at the rear of Francis Street, Dublin 8. The site, at 13/15 Spitalfields, could accommodate up to 35 apartments if the planners allow a four-storey development to proceed. Because the plot of land is located in a tax designated area, developers are obliged to spend at least 15 per cent of the cost of the project by the end of July. This would normally mean putting in the foundations but under a change in the regulations, developers are now allowed to include land acquisition costs.

Allen & Townsend handled the sale of the site and Hamilton Osborne King acted for the northern developer.
