THE STARTING point for the livingroom of 20 Windsor Road (see page 4) was the raw silk champagne curtains but the owner didn't want to do anything as predictable as a cream and gold room so she opted for a deeper colour on the walls - Colortrend's Fieldstone, a deep bluey grey, from MRCB paints (01-679 8755).
The room is big enough to take three couches and an armchair. The two-three seater sofas are from Global Village (01-283-5550) and the owner had these and another sofa and armchair, that were already in the house, covered in a JAB fabric in vintage white. Stockists: 01-276 5811.
Every room needs a few eye-catching accessories and the sunburst mirror is from Watsham Bohn 01-2140741, as are the birdcage and cushions.
The antique chandelier is from Renaissance Antiques (01-887 3809) and cost €1,300. The Indonesian Mahogany Ming coffee table with claw feet came from Minnie Peters (01-2933919)and cost €1,800. The oak floors from Keen-M Imports (042 9332080) are from €35 per sq m.
