Gannon Homes has sought planning permission for a large housing development at Robswalls, Coast Road, in Malahide, Co Dublin, and in return is offering 91 acres of land for a public park to Fingal County Council. The planning application seeks approval for 307 houses and 255 apartments.

Meanwhile, the Galway-based developers John Lally and Bernard Duffy have secured planing permission for over 375,000 sq ft of offices in four blocks ranging in height from four to seven storeys at Glencairn, Murphystown Road, Co Dublin.

In north Dublin, Annesley Motors has sought permission to demolish its car showrooms on Clonliffe Avenue and four houses and a shop on Ballybough Road and replace them with a three-storey over basement building which will include a showroom, offices and 10 apartments.

An Bord Pleanala has refused permission for 188 houses and 36 apartments at Quay Road, in Rush. In a separate decision, the board approved of the development of eight apartments in two sites and the demolition of Miniville, at Thormanby Road, Howth, Co Dublin.
