Dublin 15: from €399,950: Being surrounded by a golf course isn't the only selling point at Redwood, a new development of three and four-bedroom homes overlooking Hollystown golf course in Dublin 15. What makes this development attractive is its size.
There will be 64 homes and no fear of additional growth since the golf course forms the development's boundary. Set to launch this weekend through McPeake Auctioneers, the houses range in price from €399,950 to €715,000.
According to the developers, the homes are aimed at families trading up in the area. Located in Hollystown village, it is 14kms from the city centre and close to Blanchardstown, Tyrellstown and Ashbourne. Consequently, it is well-served by shopping facilities, such as Blanchardstown and Liffey Valley shopping centres.
A mid-terrace three-bedroom home of 122sq m (1,313sq ft) costs from €399,950. Built on three floors, it has a reception room and a shared kitchen/dining area on the ground level that leads out to a patio and garden. The three bedrooms are on the first floor with a large family room on the second floor. With a landing area attached, this floor could be used in many different ways, including as a fourth bedroom, a comfortable home study or a children's play area. The three-bedroom end-terrace homes have a similar specification and are priced from €415,000.
The four-bedroom detached houses come in two styles. The larger of the two - at 193sq m (2,077sq ft) - costs from €715,000 and is laid out on three floors. The ground floor has a large sittingroom leading out to the garden through double doors and the kitchen/diningroom has ample space and storage.
There is a large study at ground level that could be used as a separate diningroom. Three large bedrooms are on the first floor. The main bedroom is very big with walk-in dressingroom as well a large en suite. On the top floor is another large family room and the fourth bedroom.
The other four-bedroom detached house is a two-storey home of 122sq m (1,313sq ft) and is priced from €530,000. It has a distinctive half-brick, half-render finish, a bay window and double patio doors to the garden. One of the bedrooms is on the ground floor with the remaining three on the second floor.
All the homes have gas central heating, fitted kitchens and wardrobes, wall and floor tiling to kitchens and bathrooms and Rationel doors and windows.
The gardens are seeded and landscaped and most of the homes have a view of the golf course or a large green area. The development is close to the N2 and the M50.
