Two Dublin pubs - The Baggot Inn on Baggot Street Lower and The Royal Oak at Finglas Road, next to Glasnevin Cemetery - are to be demolished and redeveloped. The Fitzgerald Group, which bought The Baggot Inn last May for £5.5 million, has sought planning permission for a three-storey over basement premises. The owners of The Royal Oak plan to replace the present premises with a part four and five-storey over ground level building which will have a bar, retail and office units and 129 apartments. There will be over 200 car-parking spaces in two levels of basement.
