ANOTHER indication of the strong demand for development sites was provided with the sale at auction of 18 acres at Cooldrinagh, Lucan, Co Dublin, for £1.1 million. The land is zoned for amenity use but has frontage on to the M4 motorway, the Lucan/Leixlip road and Cooldrinagh Lane.

Lucan auctioneer McDonald Brothers is also involved in negotiations to sell a second parcel of 17 acres on the opposite side of the M4 after it was withdrawn at auction at £550,000. The land is also zoned for amenity use and is located immediately beside houses in the Weston estate. The two sites are within one mile of Lucan and two miles of Leixlip.
