One of the most successful restaurants in Co Meath, Hudson's Bistro in Navan town centre, and an unusual modern home beside it, are expected to make in the region of £700,000 (#889,000) when they are auctioned on April 25th through joint agents Insignia Richard Ellis Gunne and T & J Gavigan. The bistro seats 60 diners and has been run since 1992 by Richard and Trish Hudson who are now retiring from the business. The restaurant has won several awards, from Bridgestone and Egon Ronay among others. The three-bedroom home, which has also won an award from the Architectural Association of Ireland, rises straight out of the ground and has the bottom floor partly underground. It is divided in two by a courtyard which ensures that it catches lots of sun.
