For proof that the new property market is as healthy as ever, look no further than two separate developments handled by Ross McParland last weekend. The company notched up an impressive £7.4 million in sales between Giltspur Brook in Bray, Co Wicklow, and Mornington Park, near Drogheda, Co Louth, in just two days' viewing. At least half of the buyers at the Co Louth scheme plan to commute to the city either by rail or by road. The decision by Dwyer Nolan Developments to include conservatories as a standard feature in the Mornington houses proved a strong selling point, according to Brendan Byrne of Ross MacParland. Giltspur Brook also has great appeal, not least its wooded site with a stream running through the grounds. It goes to show that the punters know what they want and don't mind travelling for it.
