The property was built by the Herron family. Later it was owned by the Royce family and in the 1830s they supplied two stained-glass windows to the Pugins’ designed parish church in Tagoat where the name of the house can still be seen inscribed in the panels.

Refurbished in 1993, it has been run as a country house ever since. It is about 6km from Rosslare Strand and 13km from Wexford town so it is very close to the main gateway into the country.

The property includes two stone buildings, a coach house in the yard, and a cow barn, both unconverted. Given its location there is enormous scope to develop the hospitality aspect of the business.
