The three-bedroom chalet is in Ahare Tennis Park, which is close to Kilmichael beach, about a mile from the popular seaside resort of Castletown. It’s a small sheltered site with good facilities for young families. There is tennis coaching for adults and children as well as yoga classes and a mini cinema.

This property is one of 10 large timber chalets which share the site with 18 mobile homes. The chalet occupies one of the better sites within the park and has a surprisingly luxurious interior featuring a surround sound system, power showers, and an outsize American fridge. The owners had been looking to buy a country house when they saw the chalet design and ordered one to put on the Ahare Park site instead. They are now moving into a period house on the site and are planning to develop tennis and yoga holidays from their new base there.

Sales agent Denis Howell of Gorey based Warren Estates says that the holiday homes market is seeing an uplift, despite poor weather.
