With office space in Dublin city centre in short supply, the Office of Public Works is to rent 30,000 square feet at the newly developed St John's House, at High Street in Tallaght. The accommodation will be shared by the Vehicle Registration Office and a section of the Department of Agriculture, which deals with west Wicklow. The OPW will be paying a rent of £14 per square foot under a lease with a break clause in the 15th year. Engineering, construction and project managers IDC is also renting 20,000 square feet in St John's House and the agents are reporting strong interest in the remaining floor of 20,000 square feet, which can be split into two units.
