What and where

The large two-bedroom apartment at 39 Key West, Wexford, has spectacular sea views. The apartment, in the town centre, is a modern, bright, spacious home in a small exclusive development. It has all the convenience of town centre living, with shops, banks, restaurants, bars, churches, all within minutes walk. It is on the market for €450,000.

Describe the apartment

It is on the second floor of a small block of 12 apartments. It is dual aspect with floor-to-ceiling corner window looking onto Wexfords quay front and has breathtaking, uninterrupted views over Wexford harbour.

The apartment is larger than most at 86sq m (924sq ft), and both bedrooms are good-sized doubles. The main bedroom also has the benefit of sea views.

The open-plan living/ dining/kitchen area is very spacious and ideal for entertaining, or just relaxing and enjoying the view.

Why are you moving

Wexford is a second home for me. Being based in Dublin, I find that work commitments are keeping me there more often, and I am just not getting the time to enjoy everything that the apartment has to offer.

What is the best thing about it?

Undoubtedly the view. And the apartment has been designed to take full advantage of it with full floor-to-ceiling glass on two sides of the living area. The harbour is still a working quay front, with the colourful Wexford mussel fishing boats coming in and out throughout the day. The quay is also a much used amenity area, it's centre stage for the opening ceremonies of the Wexford Opera Festival.

And the neighbourhood

Key West could not be more central. The development is bounded on one side by the Main Street, and by the quay on the other.

There is a supermarket, chemist, hair salon, coffee shop, boutiques, ATMs, and car-park in the development.

Immediately adjacent are all the facilities of main street, allowing for shopping and socialising. Yet the apartment is surprisingly quiet and peaceful, being located on the second floor to the seaward side of the building.

Who would like to live in your house

Either a young single person or couple, or perhaps a downsizing older couple - both of whom would enjoy the convenience of town centre living (perhaps for different reasons). Each would be blown away by the view.
