Strong sales of apartments were reported at a stylish new development on the edge of the River Liffey, at Conyngham Road, Islandbridge, Dublin 8. Hamilton Osborne King took bookings for 30 apartments in the first and second phases of the Riverpark scheme, which are due to be completed by the end of the year. According to Ronan O'Driscoll, about 10 of the apartments were bought by investors who have moved back into the market because of the low mortgage rates and the recent increases in rent levels in the city. Capel Developments is building the scheme, which will eventually have 117 apartments. Prices range from £129,950 for one-bedroom apartments and from £165,950 for two-bedroom units.
Next month, Capel is also to launch a housing and apartment scheme off the plans at the former Linden nursing home in Blackrock. Hamilton Osborne King will also be handling sales.
