Bentley will show off a plug-in hybrid version of the Mulsanne saloon at the upcoming Beijing Motor Show. The British marque plans to introduce hybrid power to as much as 90 per cent of its range in order to meet future emissions standards.
Although Bentley is being coy about precisely which of its petrol engines is used in the hybrid drivetrain it’s claiming improvements in economy of about 75 per cent. The first hybrid Bentley to go on sale will be a version of the upcoming Bentley SUV, due to launch in 2016.
