These are early pictures of the BMW 1-series Cabrio. It is due in dealerships in summer 2007. These pictures of the disguised test car were taken in northern Sweden.
Unlike the future 3-Series Coupé-Cabrio, this open-top 1-Series will come with a conventional canvas top.
Main characteristics of the new soft-top will be the flatter windscreen and the low coupé-like canvas roof.
The convertible may give some added sales to the 1-Series as neither Mercedes nor Audi will have a competition model ready by 2007. The engine range will remain the same.
