MV AGUSTA'S EXTRAVAGANT UNVEILING
MV Agusta unveiled the extravagant F4 CC at the Milan Motorbike show last week. The Italian work of art retails at a costly €100,000 but only 100 of the black and red beauties were made.
"It's a race bike on sale to the public. We've made it with lots of love, building it all at hand. The details make the difference. The engine is a 1078cc and the power is close to 200bhp," according to MV Agusta's managing director Claudio Castiglioni.
Castiglioni named the dream machine after himself because he wanted to create something very special. "I have decided to name this bike after myself as it is a project I long dreamed of and originally designed just for me. This bike takes advantage of all the experience MV Agusta has acquired through our programme of constant research and development and blends creativity with technological evolution," he said.
Legendary multi-world champion Grand Prix rider Giacomo Agostini was also present at the launch of this superbike.
THREE FOR APRILIA
Aprilia also launched three bikes at the Milan show: the Aprilia 850 Mana, the Aprilia 750 Shiver and the Aprilia MXV 450. The naked Aprilia NA 850 Mana is an 850cc machine with a 90-degree V-Twin engine, featuring electronic fuel injection and dual spark ignition wrapped in a tubular steel trellis frame.
It's the ultimate combination of utility and sportiness. According to an Aprilia spokesperson, it's "an advanced system for electronic transmission control that allows for a relaxed ride with the utmost amount of fun and efficiency".
GALWAY RUN
The Tribes MCC Annual Charity Toy Run will begin this year from Mother Hubbards, Dublin Road, Oranmore in Galway on Saturday, November 25th. Check in begins at 8.30am and the cavalcade will be rolling out at 10am sharp. This year's route takes in Gort, Loughrea, Ballinasloe, Tuam and finishes back in Gort.
Last year the run raised over €22,000 and this year's recipients of all funds will go to St Vincent de Paul, Cope West of Ireland and Women's Refuge in Galway. All bikers are welcome, for more information visit: www.tribesmcc.ie
