Nokia N97

This is Nokia's new flagship device and it is very clever. You can totally personalise the home screen with various widgets to organise your life and, much like Apples App Store, there is an OVI store, where you can access games, videos, podcasts, productivity tools, web and location based services and more.

Facebook, Twitter and Bebo are therefore in easy reach. Being a Nokia it is easy to use too. It isn't an iPhone killer, but for those who love the Nokia brand this offers a good alternative.

Pure Sensia

Digital Audio Broadcasting (DAB) and internet radio are becoming increasingly popular and there are a range of devices that will play these without the need for a PC: this new Pure Sensia is creating quite a buzz as it not only plays DAB and internet radio but will also keep you in touch with social networking websites such as Facebook, Twitter and Flickr.

There is WiFi in the Sensia which means that you can stream straight to the device, so you can play the music that is on your PC or Mac too. There is a 5.7 touchscreen that controls everything and a range of applications, which look set to grow in number. You can keep in touch with your friends as well as keep an eye on the news and weather.

Sony PS3 250GB

The new Playstation 3 is two-thirds the size of the original machine but manages to squeeze in a hard drive that is twice the original size, so it now has 250GB.

It is much quieter than the one it replaces and, as usual, it will play all the PS3 games in Hi-Def resolution but it also has Wi-Fi built in and is a Blu-Ray player too.
