Routes to avoid around the country
DUBLIN: Until August 31st, Balbutcher Lane North closed between Ballymun Main St and St Margaret's Rd for the construction of a new road.
During the closure, following diversions will apply: 1. Traffic on Balbutcher Lane North for Main Street, Ballymun is diverted via St. Margaret's Road Old. Southbound traffic at this junction will be diverted North to M50 roundabout where it can return South.
2. Northbound traffic on Main Street, Ballymun for Balbutcher Lane North, is being diverted via St Margaret's Road Old.
3. Southbound traffic on Main Street, Ballymun for Balbutcher Lane North, is being diverted via Balbutcher Lane South. Pedestrian and local vehicular access will be maintained at all times.
Today the M1 will close overnight southbound from M50 roundabout to the Coolock Interchange, from 9pm until 6am for Port Tunnel Works.
From Monday April 24th to Sunday May 7th, a section of Watery Lane, Clondalkin will be closed, for completion of the Watery Lane Foul Sewer Duplicate Scheme, and to renew collapsed surface water sewer. Alternative routes via: Watery Lane, Orchard Lane, Monastery Road, Woodford Hill Road, Woodford Walk, Watery Lane and vice versa. Local access will be maintained at all times.
From Monday, April 24th, to Sunday, April 30th, a section of Chalet Gardens/Beech Park will be closed for resurfacing. The alternative routes are via: Lucan Road, Lucan Heights, Beech Park and Beech Grove. Diversion signs will be erected. Local access will be maintained at all times.
KILKENNY: Until Friday College Rd is closed to traffic from 7am each day. This is due to major road resurfacing works. Traffic entering the city from Callan N76 should use the Ring road.
CORK: Until mid-August, Francis St closed from Millard Street to Grattan Street for road works.
From next Monday until Friday May 5th, the LP2462, Scairt Cross to Rathmacullig East closed daily, 8am - 6pm, for surface dressing. Alternative routes via Frankfield and Grange, and via Ballinrea, Ballygarvan and the Airport Road.
Until Friday the LP2455, Liss Cross to Lehenaghmore road closed from 8am - 6am, for surface dressing. Alternative via Spur Hill, Kingsland and Bowen's Cross, Airport Road.
Until 7.30am on Friday, Maryborough Hill, Douglas is closed, for laying of drainage. Diversions: southbound traffic - at the Fingerpost roundabout take the Rochestown Road (R610) to Clarkes Hill. Turn right on to Clarkes Hill (LP2471) to Garryduff, and right on LP 2472 to Moneygurney. Turn left on to LS6466 to Hilltown, and right on LP2470. Alternatively use Carr's Hill (LP2469) to N28 and on to Hilltown. Northbound traffic - at Hilltown stay on N28 to Douglas slip and travel on Carr's Hill (LP2469) to Fingerpost roundabout. At Hilltown take LP2470 to Raheenering, turn left on LS6466 to Moneygurney, and right on LP2472 to Garryduff. Turn left on to Clarke's Hill (LP2471) to Rochestown Road and right on R610 to the Fingerpost.
Dominick Street closed today at Francis Street from 9.30am to 5pm for works.
