Routes to avoid around the country this week
DUBLIN:
From 6am on Saturday until 11pm on Sunday (May 14th), Northbound Carriageway of the M1 will closed. The closure will be between its junctions with the Coolock Off Slip and Coolock On Slip. (The M1 will be closed at the nosing of the Coolock northbound exit Slip). Traffic will be directed up the slip road, on to the second exit from the roundabout and will then proceed down the slip road and rejoin the M1.
Until Sunday July 9th, Ashtown Rd closed from River Rd to Martin Savage Park for road improvement works on a new development between Ashtown Level Crossing and River Rd including the construction of a new pedestrian bridge across the Royal Canal and bridge works at Longford Bridge. Alternative routes during the course of the works are River Rd, Ratoath Rd, Nephin Rd, the N3 Navan Road and Dunsink Lane.
Until Friday, Shelerin Rd closed from Clonsilla Rd to Ongar Rd overnight from 9pm until 6am the following mornings, for road repair and resurfacing works. Alternative route via Clonsilla Rd, Blanchardstown Rd South, Ongar Rd and Mountview Rd.
Until Friday, Blakestown Rd closed overnight from Lohunda Pk/Lohunda Estate to Mountview/Hartstown Rd from 9pm until 6am the following mornings, for road repair and resurfacing works. Alternative route via Clonsilla Rd, Blanchardstown Rd South, Ongar Rd and Mountview Rd.
Until October 20th, St. James's Walk, Dublin 8 will be closed to all through-traffic, between its junctions with Clarke's Terrace and the laneway connecting to St Anthony's Road.
1. Eastbound traffic wishing to access Forbes Lane/Long's Place via St James's Walk, will divert via South Circular Road - Dolphin's Barn Street - Cork Street - Marrowbone Lane - Forbes Lane - Long's Place.
2. Westbound traffic from Long's Place to Kilmainham via St James's Walk, diverted via Forbes Lane - Marrowbone Lane - Cork Street - Dolphin's Barn Street - South Circular Road.
WICKLOW:
Until approx May 16th, southbound inside lane of N11 at Kilpedder closed from 7am to 2pm, for linking of Greystones Southern Access with the N11.
KILKENNY:
Since Monday there are roadworks on the N24 Pilltown/Fiddown By-Pass until mid-June.
KERRY:
Road works on the N86 at The Stage, 3km east of Annascaul. Expect delays.
TIPPERARY:
Until Saturday, N52 at Lismaine, Ballingarry, Roscrea will be closed. HGVs travelling between Nenagh and Birr use the N65, R438 and R-489. Other traffic can divert via L-1069-9 or Shinrone Road, L-1065-0 to the Pike and L-1070-0 to Ballingarry.
CORK:
Until further notice, road works on N8 at north end of the Watergrasshill Bypass. Restrictions will be in place in the north-bound lanes for 1km.
Until June 6th, road works on Ballyduff Rd R666 near Fermoy town. Diversion route through Kilworth will be in place. The works are part of the Rathcormac/Fermoy Bypass.
Until mid-August, Francis St closed from Millard St to Grattan St for roadworks.
