Routes to avoid around the country
DUBLIN:
Tomorrow and Friday, lane one of the N4 inbound from Liffey Valley footbridge to the M50 Interchange closed, 10pm-6am. The bus lane of the N4 inbound from Liffey Valley footbridge to the M50 Interchange also closed until end December 2006.
From Saturday, September 16th, to September 18th, Hanover St East is closed between Creighton St and Lime St junctions, for the dismantling of a crane. Diversions: eastbound via Creighton St, City Quay and Lime St Westbound via Lime St, City Quay and Creighton St.
Until March 4th, Blackditch Dr is closed between junctions with Blackditch Rd and Claddagh Rd for the construction of new homes.
Until September 29th, Fitzwilliam St is closed for the preparation of construction works. Traffic from Irishtown Rd to Bridge St via Fitzwilliam St, will divert via Irishtown Rd - Bridge St. Two-way traffic along Fitzwilliam St from junction with Bridge St for 55 metres.
Until Sunday, September 24th, each night from 8pm to 6am, a section of Belgard Rd is closed, from the junction with the N81 to the junction with Belgard Sq North. Alternative routes: south - Belgard Rd via Belgard Way, Belgard Sq East, Belgard Sq South, the N81 Tallaght Bypass. North - Belgard Rd via Tallaght Bypass, Cookstown Way, Belgard Sq North, Belgard Way, Belgard Rd.
Until Friday, October 27th, a section of John F Kennedy Drive in Bluebell closed for replacement of the existing river Camac culvert that crosses John F Kennedy Drive. Alternatives: via John F Kennedy Drive, John F Kennedy Ave, Bluebell Ave, Kylemore Rd, Old Naas Rd and John F Kennedy Dr.
KILDARE:
On Tuesday, September 19th Ryder Cup Race Day at The Curragh, first race at 1.30pm.
KILKENNY:
N9 through Thomastown closed from Maudlin Court entrance to Logan St until Friday.
GALWAY:
Until October 15th (approx), works on N17 through Milltown Village, for laying water-mains. Delays may be expected.
WATERFORD:
Youghal Bridge on N25 reduced to one lane with temporary lights, for maintenance work until late December.
CORK:
On Sunday, September 17th from 10am to 6pm, L3217-74 connecting Robert's Cove Bridge to Rocky Bay Cross will close. Alternative routes: west, travel northwest via L3210-27 to Minane Bridge and junction with L7277-0. Continue southerly via L7275-0 to junction with L7277-0, turn left, continue in a southeasterly direction to junction with L3217-74. East: go northwest via L7277-0 to junction with L7275-0, turn right, go in northerly direction to Minane Bridge and junction with L3210-27, turn right, continue southeasterly via L3210-27 to Robert's Cove.
Until Friday, September 15th, Harbour View Rd closed from Hollymount Estate to Courtown Dr eastbound, 7am to 6pm for resurfacing works.
Also until Friday, Mallow Rad closed inbound at Fitz's Boreen, 9.30am to 8pm for resurfacing.
Today Farranlea Pk/Rd closed, 8am to 6pm for resurfacing.
There may be possible delays today on Cathedral Rd from 9.30am until 4pm due to drainage works.
Resurfacing tomorrow on Berlingford Dr from 7am to 6pm.
Also tomorrow may be delays on Western Rd from 9.30am to 4pm for water works.
On Friday, September 15th, Pearse Rd closed from Friar's Walk to Connolly Rd, 9.30am to 6pm for resurfacing works.
