Routes to avoid around the country
DUBLIN:
From tomorrow a section of Hayden's Lane at the northern side of railway bridge will be temporarily closed. It will be closed (600 metres south of Grange Manor) for the construction of the Adamstown Link Road. The alternative routes are via Hayden's Lane, Lock Road, Esker Road. Diversion signs will be erected. Local access will be maintained at all times.
Until Thursday, February 23rd, a section of Farmersvale Road (Blackchurch Lane), Rathcoole is closed at its junction with N7 Naas Road and Windmill Hill Road. Alternative routes are via: Whitehouse Lane, Windmill Hill Road, Farmersvale Road, Turf Bog Lane, and the N7 (Naas Road). Diversion signs are erected. Local access is maintained at all times.
CORK:
Fairfield Ave will remain closed until further notice inbound from its junction with Upper Fair Hill for works on Fairfield Ave.
Today, tomorrow and Friday, Trafalgar Hill will be closed from Lower Glanmire Road to Tivoli Estate from 9.30am to 7pm for resurfacing.
Expect delays today and tomorrow for works on South Gate Bridge junction with Barrack Street from 7.30pm to 11pm.
Today, tomorrow and on Friday, the Jack Lynch Tunnel will be closed from 8pm each night until 7am the following morning.
Expect delays on Friday on Bishopstown Road from 10am to 4pm.
Works restrarted on the N22 between Macroom & Ballymakeera. The closure will operate between 9.30am and 4.30pm Monday to Saturday. Alternative routes are signposted by Clondrohid and local access is maintained. Works are expected to be completed in the first week of March.
Until next Monday, January 23rd, the R617 in Blarney Village is closed between the Blarney Park Hotel and Supervalue. The alternative route is via Blarney Relief Road. The purpose of the temporary closure is to complete stormwater pipeline construction as part of the Blarney R617 Resurfacing & Improvements Work.
KERRY:
Until mid-February road widening works are in place on the N70 between Caherdaniel and Castlecove. The works will be in place Monday to Friday from 9am - 5pm. A stop and go system will be in place for the duration of the works.
LIMERICK:
Until March 3rd, 2006, Honan's Quay is closed from its junction with Bedford Row to its intersection with Liddy Street (under Sarsfield Bridge). This closure is for the completion of sewer rehabilitation work at Honan's Quay and Sarsfield Street. The diversion is via Bedford Row, and motorists are advised to avoid the Quays during the above periods, and divert on to Henry Street via Lower Cecil Street and Mount Kenneth.
WATERFORD:
Broad Street is closed from its junctions with Peter St and Patrick St for works. This closure is in place until March 31st, and the works are part of plans to pedestrianise the street.
OFFALY:
Until March, works will continue outside the Government Buildings in Tullamore. Temporary lights will operate Monday to Friday between 8am and 5pm.
