Routes to avoid around the country
DUBLIN
The road between Kilgobbin Road and Leopardstown Road is closed until Friday, October 13th. The closure has been extended to the above date to construct a roundabout at the Gallops.
Local and emergency access is maintained at all times. Sign-posted diversions via Kilgobbin Road and Leopardstown Road. Traffic management plan is in operation.
M50 motorway under the N4 Interchange is closed to traffic and diversions are in place via the N4 interchange, weekdays from midnight till 6am and weekends from midnight until 10am on Wednesday, December 13th, until Sunday, December 17th.
LOUTH
Until October 24th (approx) roadworks are in place on the N2 at Collon. A stop/go system with single lane restricitions will be in place on a 24-hour basis.
The works will take place from 8am to 6pm each day and may also include weeekend work. Expect delays.
SLIGO
Connolly St has returned to a two-way traffic system. Attention is needed while signage and road markings are amended.
Major roadworks and temporary lights are in operation on the N59 at Abbeytown in Ballysadare from 7.30am to 6pm until approx November 15th.
WESTMEATH
Roadworks are in place on the N52 Tullamore to Mullingar Road at Carrick Bridge, Dalystown. Temporary lights are in operation.
This will be the case until October 23rd.
GALWAY
Until October 20th, on the N59 at Moycullen Village - delays are likely, due to major road works in operation.
LIMERICK
Until mid-October works are in place on the N21 Abbeyfeale/ Newcastle West Road from Barnagh to Killarney Pole.
The works are 3.2km on the Abbeyfeale side of Newcastlewest.
Traffic will be one-way during normal working hours, and will be controlled by flagmen.
CORK
Tomorrow Old Blackrock Road will be closed from Rockboro Road to Victoria Ave from 9.30am to 6pm for resurfacing works.
The Jack Lynch Tunnel will be closed from 8pm tomorrow night until 7am Friday morning, and again from 8pm Friday until 7am Saturday morning to facilitate scheduled maintenance
On Friday, October 13th, Old Blackrock Road will be closed from Infirmary Road to Victoria Avenue for resurfacing works.
Access to the South Infirmary will be maintained Castle Road will be closed from 7am to 6pm for resurfacing works.
