Routes to avoid around the country
DUBLIN:
On Monday, October 30th, the Adidas Dublin City Marathon will take place in the city centre. The route will be: Start at Kildare St then on to Nassau St, Lincoln Place, Westland Row, Pearse St, Westmoreland St, Aston Quay, Wellington Quay,Capel St, Bolton St, Dorset St Upper, Eccles St, North Circular Rd, North Rd, Spa Rd, Lord's Way, Chesterfield Ave, Furze Rd, Upper Glen Rd, Chapelizod Rd, St Laurence's Rd, Sarsfield Rd, Inchicore Rd, South Circular Rd, Dolphin's Barn Rd, Crumlin Rd, Drimnagh Rd, Walkinstown Rd, Cromwellsfort Rd, Kimmage Rd West, Kimmage Rd Lower, Fortfield Rd, Terenure Rd East, Orwell Rd, Dartry Rd, Milltown Rd, Clonskeagh Rd, Roebuck Rd, Foster's Ave, Stillorgan Rd, UCD Flyover, Stillorgan Rd, Nutley Lane, Merrion Rd, Shelbourne Rd, Grand Canal St, Hogan's Place, Fenian St, Westland Row, Pearse St, College St, Nassau St, Leinster St South, Clare St, and finishing on Merrion Sq West.

Until November 30th, St James Walk closed. Traffic from Rialto diverts via SCR, Dolphin's Barn St, Cork St, Marrowbone Lane and Forbes Lane to Long's Place. Traffic from Long's Place diverts via Forbes lane. Marrowbone Lane, Cork St, Dolphin's Barn St and SCR.
On Saturday, October 28th, and Sunday, October 29th, Frederick Lane North closed, 8am to 8pm.
In the Sandyford Industrial Estate, road works on Blackthorn Rd, Blackthorn Drive and Carmanhall Rd. Works on Blackthorn Rd due to finish by the end of November. Works on Blackthorn Drive between Drummartin Link Road and Carmanhall Rd until December. Expect major delays around the Leopardstown Rd/Sandyford Ind Estate area. Expect delays too on the Drummartin Link Rd, Brewery Rd and Leopardstown Rd. In the same area, motorists must not turn left or right from Kilgobbin Rd into Leopardstown Heights between 7.30am and 9.30am. Gardaí are enforcing this.
WICKLOW:
Until early 2008, works on N11 Kilpeddar Interchange. Two lanes open at all times.
WESTMEATH:
Until October 30th, N52 Tullamore to Mullingar Rd at (Carrick Bridge) Dalystown closed for replacement of River Bridge at Carrick.
LAOIS:
Until Friday October 27th works on N8 north of Abbeyleix at Tonduff Cross, 8am until 6pm. Stop/Go system for realignment works. Expect delays.
CORK:
From Friday, October 27th to Monday, October 30th, the Guinness Jazz Festival is in Cork City, so delays expected during the weekend.
Until December 22nd, the Old Railway Tunnel Walkway (aka "Cut & Cover Tunnel), Monkstown, Cork closed for remedial works on the tunnel.
Ringmahon Rd will be closed today from Skehard Rd to Coakley's Row from 8am to 6pm for resurfacing.
Convent Rd will also be closed from 8am to 6pm for works.
Tomorrow Ascension Heights will be closed from 8am to 6pm for resurfacing.
Works on Popes Rd, 9.30am to 4.30pm Thursday, Friday and Saturday - expect delays.
On Friday, October 27th, Killala Gardens closed, 8am to 6pm for resurfacing.
