Please note:

Many urban and county councils reduce or suspend roadworks over the Christmas period, particularly in Dublin, in accordance with Operation Freeflow.

From 7pm Friday, January 6th to 7pm, Monday, January 9th, 2006, part of St Margarets Road will be closed near the Jamestown Road junction.

The nearest alternative route will be via the District Distributor Road. Diversion signs and traffic management will be in place.

From Monday January 9th 2006, until Friday March 31st 2006, The Metals, Glenageary will be closed between Upper Eden Road and Adelaide Road.

The alternative route for cyclists and pedestrians will be via Eden Road Lower and Adelaide Road and vice versa.

A traffic management plan will be in operation and diversions will be signposted.

On Sunday, January 8th, Blackthorn Road will be closed from 6am to 4pm between Blackthorn Drive and Bracken Rd.

KILDARE:

The Barbarstown Cross to Straffan Village Road is closed to through traffic.

The road is closed for roadworks until January 27th.

MAYO:

The new Inner Relief Road in Foxford is now open. A new one-way system is also in operation, and drivers are asked to heed the signs and take extra care while people get used to the new traffic arrangements.

GALWAY:

The Park and Ride scheme is operating at the Ballybrit Race Course, running every 15 minutes from 7.30am until 9pm each day.

KERRY:

Free Car Parking is available at the Lewis Rd car park, High St Car Park and Jimmie the Masons Car Park in Kilarney until the end of December. This is to facilitate Christmas shopping traffic.

SLIGO:

Until further notice, roadworks will take place on the N17 South of Tubbercurry at Rue. Traffic management will be in operation, so exercise caution.

WEXFORD:

Until further notice, from 7am to 7pm traffic restrictions are in place on the N11 south of Ferns. Allow extra time for all journeys on the Enniscorthy side of Ferns village.
