Routes to avoid during the week ahead
DUBLIN : Oldcourt Road, Tallaght closed for construction of new road and laying storm pipes and water mains. Alternative routes via Oldcourt Rd (R113).
Ballycullen Rd, Killinniny Rd and Oldcourt Rd (R113) or via Oldcourt Rd (R113), Killinniny Rd, Ballycullen Rd and Oldcourt Rd (R113).
WICKLOW : Landscaping on N11 between Newtownmountkennedy and Ballynabarny (Ashford/ Rathnew Bypass), closing the fast lane in both directions for periods of up to eight hours at a time. Lane closures restricted to outside peak hours on affected direction - outside the morning rush hour northbound, and outside the evening rush hour southbound. Also planting works on the side of the road.
KILDARE: Major road widening on N7 Dublin-bound between Kill and Blackchurch for a third lane on N7, with 65 km/h speed limit. Two city-bound lanes slightly narrowed for the works.
Works in Naas on Dublin Rd, Fishery lane and Maudlins Interchange until May 2005, for N7 road widening and interchange scheme.
WESTMEATH: Work on barrier for Athlone Bypass - short section of fast lane closed. This section will be moving as works progress.
LOUTH: Dundalk-Ardee Rd (N52) closed for building Dundalk Western bypass, 1.25km southwest of junction with Knockbridge Rd for 300m. Local access will be maintained.
Heynestown Rd (CR165) for 1km from junction with Old Ardee Rd and N1 Southern link Rd. Alternative route to Dundalk is N52, N1 Southern Link Rd to Carrolls Junction, Dublin Rd, Hill St, Dundalk.
TIPPERARY: Resurfacing on N24 Clonmel Road at Cahir. Single lane between 8am and 6pm each day.
LIMERICK: L1402 Caher Road in Mungret closed for laying of storm sewer line. Diversions signposted.
O'Callaghan Strand and North Circular Rd closed. Diversion along Ennis Road and Lower Shelbourne Road to Salesian Roundabout.
CORK: Traffic restrictions at Jack Lynch Tunnel. Southbound bore closed, and northbound bore has contraflow at the following times: 8pm until 7am Monday to Thursday. From 7am Saturday until 6pm on Sunday. At all other times the tunnel will operate normally.
St Patrick's Street; and Daunt's Square closed from junction of Grand Parade. Access to Cornmarket Street from Kyrl's Quay and Lavitt's Quay only.
Watercourse Rd closed from O'Connell St to Blackpool Bridge. Use alternative route.
