Routes to avoid during the week ahead
DUBLIN: Barnacullia and Ballyedmoduff road closed from Slate Cabin Lane to Burrow Rd, for essential drainage and road reconstruction works. Alternative route via Blackglen Rd, Enniskerry Rd and Burrow Rd and vice versa. Diversions will be signposted.
Lane restrictions on Link Road from Upper Kilmacud Road to Blackthorn Road from 8am-6pm each day.
KILDARE: Roadworks in Naas on Dublin Rd, Fishery lane and at Maudlins Interchange, for the N7 road widening & Interchange Scheme.
Diversions on N4 at Kilcock using new slip roads and ramps. Kilcock traffic should continue to use the existing Pitchfordstown Link Road.
MEATH: Works on Main St in Enfield - use Enfield Bypass.
WESTMEATH: Resurfacing on R446 from Golden Island roundabout to Washhouse Turn in Athlone. Expect delays.
KILKENNY: Restrictions for construction of new roundabout at junction of O'Loughlin Road and Hebron Road.
LAOIS: Works on N7 between Ballaghmore and Castletown, 8am to 6pm Monday to Friday and 8am to 3pm on Saturday.
Works and temporary traffic lights on N7 on Limerick side of Mountrath, between Vocational School and SPAR shop, between 8am and 6pm each day.
LOUTH: Roadworks on N2 south of Ardee at Hunterstown.
There is a traffic management plan on the Dundalk Western Bypass. Northbound traffic will NO LONGER be diverted west at N52/Racecourse Rd, it will go north to a new roundabout north of the Dundalk Greyhound Track, diverting westwards along a new link road to junction with OLD Newry Rd north of the Graveyard, northwards on Old N1 and on to Jonesborough Rd, then east on to new section of Dundalk Western By-Pass joining Old Newry Rd 500m north of Ballymacscanlon Roundabout.
All northbound traffic diverted from existing Ballymascanlon Roundabout. The section of OLD Newry Rd from junction of new link road and N1 to where northbound traffic diverted east off Jonesborough is one-way, traffic wishing to travel south along Jonesborough Rd towards Dundalk will be diverted East along new Section of Dundalk Western By-Pass to new roundabout on Newry Rd, south through the Ballymascanlon Roundabout, and south to new roundabout on N52 , turning west along new link rd and joining OLD Newry Rd.
CLARE: Roadworks on N18 south of Bunratty - single lane each direction. Long delays expected, especially between 7am and 10am and 4pm-7pm. Shannon Airport advises intending passengers that delays can be expected, so passengers should allow extra time to get to the airport.
LIMERICK: Clancy Strand closed from junction with Ennis Road to junction with N7.
KERRY: Major roadworks on National Secondary Road N86 west of Camp.
Roadworks on N70 Ring of Kerry. Traffic restrictions between Kells Station and Cahirciveen. Delays expected.
SLIGO: Traffic diverted south of Hughes Bridge (Queens Store Road) for tie-in of new Inner Relief Road with the bridge.
